Waterfall Canyon

First hike up Waterfall Canyon this summer was an absolute fail. After we pack all my stuff up and get it out of Derrick's place and over to Freddie's storage unit we decided lets go watch the sunset. We take Zorro and Freddie's dog, Luna. We get half way up and decided we should head back because I was starving. I wanted to take a different path than where we came and come to find out it goes four or five miles away from where we need to go, we decide to go down this huge rock face instead of going back. Don't ask me what I was thinking because I'm not really sure. We get down a couple yards and I roll my ankle. Okay, a little painful but I'm fine. Then out of no where this beetle the size of my dog lands right in front of me. I jump back and fracture my ankle. I'm one of those really graceful people.. not. I thought it was just spranged. Freddie is in the Army Reserves and I didn't want him thinking I was a panzi or anything so I manage to take a couple steps and rest for ten minutes. Then we lose the rocks and go into trees and bushes. I couldn't help but to sit down while Freddie went ahead to figure out where the hell we were going. When he got back he picked me up and carried me for a good mile and a half. You might think awe, how cute. No. I felt beyond retarded. We FINALLY get to the bottom and to the regular path. We make it to the car in one piece and I lit up a cigarette so damn fast it'd make your head spin. Freddie took me back to his place, wrapped my ankle, carried me to the truck, bought me Beto's and took me home. It was a ridiculous day but one I will not forget. The next day I went to the doctor and come to find out I fractured something. Wasn't supposed to walk on it for four weeks. That lasted maybe a week. It was an amazing day all and all though. I had someone who cared enough to push through my stubborn-headed-ness and actually help when I clearly needed it.
 My dog is pathetic..

And leave it to Freddie to spoil my kids :p

Happy Mothers Day!

A lot has happened and it's been a while since I've posted anything. Derrick and I took a dive and decided we should take separate paths. I moved out and I am glad to say I own my apartment just Brielle and I. I love it!

Any who! Mothers Day! It was such a wonderful day. A family friend had told me to text one of my dearest friends who I lost touch with after I had Brielle and it was the best idea ever. He came over mothers day, took me to breakfast, brought me flowers, and gave me my first bullet bike ride. It was a rush and sooo much fun. It was nice to spend time with someone who was happy to have me with them. After breakfast he took me back to my moms and helped set up for our little family party. Brielle came home after spending some time with her grandma and letting me have a break. My mom always has amazing family parties. It was nice to see some family I hadn't seen in a while. Even after the tears and break up I was reminded of how many people I have who truly love and care for not only me but my daughter as well. It was only my second mothers day but it was my favorite so far (:
I hope all of you got to enjoy being with your mothers and being spoiled for a day.
Brielle's teachers made me a whole tub of these cupcakes. This was my favorite saying

This is a new chapter in my life. Life's greatest lessons are always the most difficult.
Happy mothers day everyone. <3

Girl's weekend!

This weekend was Derrick's Vegas Pro-Am Round 2 and sadly I had to miss it this time because of work on Friday, sad weekend. Luckily my friend Lindsay stayed with me all weekend. We went to my moms Friday night and got facials.  Saturday we ended up making breakfast, watching too many scary movies, getting my tattoo fixed, and playing Xbox since I didn't have Brielle. Sunday the weather warmed up (finally) and we went for an awesome hike up Adam's Canyon. Linny has bad asthma and didn't have her inhaler, so we didn't even make it half way up before we turned around and went back down. Even though I couldn't be there for Derrick it was a great weekend with the only true friend I have left. (:
A little dry in this picture but looks SOOOO much better.
Good tattoos aren't cheap, cheap tattoo's aren't good.
I've learned my lesson. If it's not a legit tattoo parlor. Don't go!
 Rockin' the boyfriends hoodie!
 On our way up
 The view
 The nature <3

On the way down.
All and all it was a decent weekend. I was so happy to have Derrick come home. Even though we video chatted everyday it just wasn't the same without him. Hope everyone had an awesome weekend and congrats to my babe for doing a good job at Vegas (:

Hair Trauma

Ever acted on a spur of the moment idea? Well I did yesterday. Not sure how I feel about it.. As I was sitting in beauty school and we were talking about damaged hair. I've had bleach on my hair for a good 4 or 5 years. My hair was fried. So I decided Oh lets make it healthy and chop it off. After talking to my instructor she said she'd cut me an A-line. We took 8 and a half inches off my hair, my hair is now in shock and I feel naked. Derrick loves it and video called me just so he could see it right away. When he got home he just stared at me and out of no where asked if he could pull my hair. So boyfriend likes it and Brielle still recognizes me, I guess it's not that bad. Different but not bad.

I think I look like a mommy but Derrick says it's "sassy"
Hope you have all had an awesome week!

Lets color some Eggs!

Easter is practically here! I've been slacking and haven't gotten anything ready yet. No basket, no eggs, and no candy. The day before I decide to color eggs with my parents, hubby, and daughter. I haven't colored eggs in a really long time. It was so much fun. I also wanted to give you guys a couple of obvious ideas that we maybe don't think of.
 My handsome nephew (:
The two that give me my strength
 My failure ):
I thought of taping an egg to make a cool design. It worked! he wrapped it around in different areas and it came out fancy like! He's so handsome. <3
1. One trick is to, like I said, tape it. color it first and then tape over it. then drop the egg in another color and it makes a cool almost vain looking design.
2. You can also use waxy crayons to do some polka dots or anything.
3. Most people know about the rubber bands, but just in case you didn't wrap a rubber band or two around your egg and it makes a tye dye looking egg.
4. For this one you might want to help your kids. But use a hot glue gun to draw designs and drop it in the color.
5. Rather than dye use an acrylic paint. Put some paint on a piece of aluminum foil and wrap your egg in it. It gives you a speckled egg that is way cute!
So next Easter you guys have some new ideas for your Easter eggs!
Hope everyone has a happy Easter!

Cosmo kid

I find it really hard to believe that in two months I'm going to be on the salon floor in two months! It's going by so crazy fast. We are done with most book work and we have finished hair cutting and almost hair styling. We start chemical texturizing next week and then hair color. We are finished after that. The last week or two have been hair styling and I've enjoyed finally being able to put some creativity out there!
Finger waves! Call me strange but the style of the flappers intrigues me. I loved doing this hairstyle.
 Ginormous rollers=ginormous hair.
This is how we do it in the south (; Go big or Go home!
