20 Years Young

Celebrating my birthday has never been a huge extravagant thing for me. It's been more or less a day to be grateful for everything I've experienced in life. My past is an ugly one. I like to pretend I've lived with my adopted parents for 20 years, but we've only been a family for 5 years now. The 15 years before that were nothing but hell. So every year when my birthday rolls around I thank the heavens for the family I was blessed with and the wonderful years I have had with them. I never thought i'd make it to twenty. It was a relaxing day spent with my family doing absolutely nothing. Brielle woke me up with a picture frame she picked out and her favorite picture of us at her birthday, my mom got me a beautiful Peridot ring, my dad got me a brand new Fuji 4800 Camera, and my honey bought me my seventh tattoo. The three best gifts I could have ever asked for. 

 Oh and Ethan made me delicious dinner! :D

Waterfall Canyon

First hike up Waterfall Canyon this summer was an absolute fail. After we pack all my stuff up and get it out of Derrick's place and over to Freddie's storage unit we decided lets go watch the sunset. We take Zorro and Freddie's dog, Luna. We get half way up and decided we should head back because I was starving. I wanted to take a different path than where we came and come to find out it goes four or five miles away from where we need to go, we decide to go down this huge rock face instead of going back. Don't ask me what I was thinking because I'm not really sure. We get down a couple yards and I roll my ankle. Okay, a little painful but I'm fine. Then out of no where this beetle the size of my dog lands right in front of me. I jump back and fracture my ankle. I'm one of those really graceful people.. not. I thought it was just spranged. Freddie is in the Army Reserves and I didn't want him thinking I was a panzi or anything so I manage to take a couple steps and rest for ten minutes. Then we lose the rocks and go into trees and bushes. I couldn't help but to sit down while Freddie went ahead to figure out where the hell we were going. When he got back he picked me up and carried me for a good mile and a half. You might think awe, how cute. No. I felt beyond retarded. We FINALLY get to the bottom and to the regular path. We make it to the car in one piece and I lit up a cigarette so damn fast it'd make your head spin. Freddie took me back to his place, wrapped my ankle, carried me to the truck, bought me Beto's and took me home. It was a ridiculous day but one I will not forget. The next day I went to the doctor and come to find out I fractured something. Wasn't supposed to walk on it for four weeks. That lasted maybe a week. It was an amazing day all and all though. I had someone who cared enough to push through my stubborn-headed-ness and actually help when I clearly needed it.

I finally got another tattoo. It's not finished but will be on Friday! I hate when people get stuff that means nothing to them . I made sure this tattoo incorporated what I love, my daughter. I got a cherry blossom tree which in my eyes stands as beauty and one of the branches has Brielle's name in it. My daughter defines beauty. When Derrick and I decide to have our own in a few years I will incorporate that baby's name into it also.

Vegas Vacation!

After our wonderful drift competition it was really nice to enjoy the Vegas scene. Saturday night we went down Fremont street, which is always fun, and decided to get dinner at Tony Roma's! The wait was a good 45 minutes so we decided to all go play some slot machines (it's always nice to look older than your age) Derrick won like 50 bucks but just spent it all on the same machine. He had fun (: When our table was called Derrick, William, Lyndsey and I all went inside more than happy to eat after such an eventful day. Our friends Josh and Hanna met up with us after we were seated. Derrick and I ordered the steak and lobster special which was superb! Lyndsey and Hanna ordered the 1/2 chicken. We all busted up when half a chicken came out on a plate :p It was literally half a chicken! 

During dinner my best friend, Ben, sent me a picture of our fur babies since he was watching them. It was adorable! 

 Derrick bought me a big ass drink! It was yummy (: Pina Colada.

Fremont Street!

It was an awesome night with friends (: The next morning we all slept in until about 10AM and we all packed up and checked out of hotel by 11AM. We decided to go eat a buffet and Derrick said he wanted to spoil me our last day so he told everyone else if they didn't want to spend $30 a plate (which isn't super bad) then they could go eat somewhere else. But eh wanted to eat at the Wynn Hotel. Which was possibly the best part of the whole trip! It was an unlimited buffet and the food was amazing! Derrick had about 3 slabs of the best prime rib we'd ever tasted. Lyndsey and I went crazy on the desserts. The bakers were so sweet and gave us extra of everything

I did a little bit of shopping but I decided to save a quarter of my paychecks until our next one so I'll have a few hundred to spend on myself! :D So next time expect a few cute outfits (: Next even is in either March or April, we will see! 

I want to give a shout out to my dear friend Kasey VanDyke! She has been a faithful follower! I'm going to miss you when you leave next month! But I'm so stoked and I'll actually write to you! Promise (: 

Last free week

This is my last week of just hanging out. No more gym everyday for 2 hours, no more MW3 with friends, hanging out with my little girl all day, and spending Derrick's days off just cuddling in bed watching Netflix. School starts Tuesday. So I thought I'd make this week go out with  a bang (: I had so much fun this week.

Go with the Flow

This month is seeming to fly by! I start Cosmetology on January 17th! Woo!! 

A lot has happened already, it's been a great start to the new year. Derrick keeps wanting to take Brielle and I out. We are spending so much time as a family! Derrick switched jobs so we've been able to do a lot more. So here's a peak at my week! 

Our latest date we went to Pad Thai, ordered two Thai tea's ( I am addicted ) I got the YellowCurry Chicken and Derrick got Drunken noodles, and of course two spring rolls! :D We then went to   Office Depot because Derrick has been begging me to help him get organized, we finally had time and that what we did (:

Another date we met up with Sam and Kathy and went to the movies to see Sherlock Holmes, which was intense and awesome! :D

We are also doing home renovations! Derrick put a new mirror in that is girl friendly (:

 I went shopping. 400 dollars later and there is no room in our freezer, fridge, or pantry.

Reese's peanut butter cups. Between me and Derrick we ate a jumbo bag in one day. :p

Brielle is in her big girl bed. Derrick was so awesome with her first night. He helped take apart the crib and we painted this forever ago, but she had the hardest time falling asleep so he came in all three of us squished on her bed and fell asleep together. <3

Oh hey mom, I am the destroyer of worlds. Let me just shut this door :p
