20 Years Young

Celebrating my birthday has never been a huge extravagant thing for me. It's been more or less a day to be grateful for everything I've experienced in life. My past is an ugly one. I like to pretend I've lived with my adopted parents for 20 years, but we've only been a family for 5 years now. The 15 years before that were nothing but hell. So every year when my birthday rolls around I thank the heavens for the family I was blessed with and the wonderful years I have had with them. I never thought i'd make it to twenty. It was a relaxing day spent with my family doing absolutely nothing. Brielle woke me up with a picture frame she picked out and her favorite picture of us at her birthday, my mom got me a beautiful Peridot ring, my dad got me a brand new Fuji 4800 Camera, and my honey bought me my seventh tattoo. The three best gifts I could have ever asked for.

Oh and Ethan made me delicious dinner! :D

Vegas Drift!

Derrick and I have been anticipating this trip for months! It was supposed to be on our one year anniversary weekend but they moved it up to February, but we didn't complain. I am so proud of Derrick, he's living his dream (finally). This was the first step, and he did so great we will be going to the next event and hopefully at the end of the season Derrick can get his pro license! For  those of you who don't know what drifting is, just watch Fast and Furious: Tokyo Drift. You'll get the idea. We rode up following Trent  and we had Will and Lyndsey riding with us. The drive always sucks.
We had a party in the back seat ;p
 It was packed!
 Derrick sexy car, number 25!

Vegas Pro-Am!

 Parade lap
Sexy Scoop.
I've never seen him so nervous before!!
There was a hiccup with Will's car ):
 Packed!
 The only Subaru!
Loved this car, hot pink with glitter

 Woo!
 Only drift truck!
Top qualifying 16! Good job Derrick
Everyone kept calling us Umbrella girls. So we became that (:

The celebration for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd
Derrick qualified which is really good. How it worked was everyone practiced first. There were 2 practice rounds for each  group. Even and odds. Odds went first then evens then odds and evens one last time. Derrick was an odd so he went first. First practice round he broke an axle, luckily he converted to an s13 suspension and everyone there had a spare one. He got back on the track and did amazing. After practice were qualifying rounds. Only 16 out of the 40 people qualified. You got two chances to qualify. Which ever score was higher was the score they took. Derrick qualified 9th. After qualifying rounds the qualifiers did tandum which is two people going together, and whoever is following has to follow the line of the leader as best as possible. Derrick went up against the only girl drifter. Beat her (: He then went against the top qualifier and it was super close and kind of cheap but he ended up losing to him. Which is okay because he still did an amazing job! The way it works is you get points each Vegas Drift session. There are four session. The higher place you get the more points you get for the end of season. At the end of the season they will take your points from all four sessions and the top 4 will get a pro license!

Craziness!

This week I felt like the Energizer bunny. I just kept going and going and going. I was living off of like five hours of sleep for a full week. I ended up getting a second seasonal job  because the pay is unbelievable. So I'm working every Friday through Sunday from 9 AM to 11 PM and also going to school Monday through Thursday from 9 AM to 1 PM. That leaves me Thursdays to do every one's laundry, go grocery shopping, and spend time with my baby girl and wonderful hubby. It's insane! So any chance I can get I've been spoiling myself. Peppermint shakes, Boboa Drinks, and getting my hair done. I've enjoyed having the extra money to take myself and Brielle out.
MMMMMM Pineapple.
Rockin the boyfriends shirt, new hair!
We also had hurricane winds this last week. It was scary. Our fence would blow down and touch the ground then go back up. This house was seven houses down from us and it caught fire. They lost their dog, and most of their belongings we're trying to find a way to help them out for Christmas, lately we've just been helping them and the clean up crew try and sift through the rubble. It's been really hard on me to watch them in pain :/
R.I.P Dusty. ):
Oh, Derrick also made my car sound like a beast. (; Thanks babe.
Hopefully I can stay this busy until Christmas! Hope you guys are getting ready for the holidays and staying positive (:

Ziptie Jewelry

One of Derrick's friend, Will, finally found the girl for him! And she's becoming one of my favorite people to hang out with. Lyndsey ( Will's girl ) and I were hanging out in the shop with the boys. We were laughing and giggling but we got bored pretty fast. They were so close to getting Will's car to run so they were almost done but they were taking forever! So we got into Will's ziptie box and just started making random stuff. Bracelets, keychains, and rings. The 500 zipties went down to like 100. It's a good thing our boys love us(;

Our keychains!
My favorite part of the night was when Derrick put a mini on my finger and said "We're "tied" down forever" I couldn't stop laughing! His jokes are silly. I had to explain it to Lyndsey. Zipties. Tied down. (: great night.!
Bracelets and Keychains!! :D
So if you want something no one else has just get some zipties (;

Helping Derrick in the shop (:

Derrick owns his own shop and he's got a few projects he's working on. He loves when I'm out there with him but it's not that fun to sit in an uncomfortable chair and be blinded by a welder. So I made myself productive and sanded his wheels to his car so I could paint them for him. He's really wanted to do it himself but he hasn't had time. I helped :D It was exhausting and I fell asleep at like ten thirty with a rim in my lap and sandpaper in my hands. It was actually pretty fun (:
Orginally they were totally black. Derrick sprayed some fancy stuff on them to get the top coat off. I had to sand it down so it was all silver.
Straight black.
Before I got my hands on them but after Derrick put acid on them.
After. Clean and fresh! Yeah I'm good (:
Soooo pretty!! :D

After a long days of workin it's time for kisses and bed! <3 love you (:

All this for a spicy McChicken?

No bueno :/
Today I woke up and Brielles' dad came and got her. I didn't really feel like sitting at the house alone. So I went to Ben's house while he was at work and played call of duty all day. ( Yes, I ignored my duties as a house wife )
Ben gets home and says he needs to get a part for his car and I haven't eaten all day. So I decide to go with him and get some Spicy McChickens from Mcdonalds.
First stop: McDonalds, we get two spicy's. We head across the street and I sit in the car waiting for Ben. As I'm sitting there the car started to idle really rough. So I shut it off. Ben comes out, I tell him what happened, we pull out of the parking lot and start to leave. The car starts freakin' out! We get on the main street, turn into a neigboorhood. The car dies. We aren't that far so we walk back to Checker Auto Parts.

We were reduced to drinking Pepsi. Bleh

No power steering and I haave to steer??
But I guess me having to steer isn't as bad as Ben having to push his car

I gave Derrick a call and luckily he was off work like ten minutes early, Which meant he could come help us. So Ben pushes and a guy ends up stopping and helping us, he was nice to look at (; and we got to checker which was only a block and a half, but i was pretty sure my arms were going to fall off. Ben went inside to make sure he could leave his car there. I swear two minutes later I heard that straight piped Subaru and I was beyon ecstatic. Ben was still inside and Derrick, being the master tech he is, tried to figure out what happened. Ben thought it was ignition module, but Derrick said it was the distributor. Either way it wasn't going anywhere.

My knight in shining armor who apparently doesn't know how to take pictures. (:
Later when we got home Derrick did some research and come to find out Ben's ignition module is built in the distributor, so he gets to spend a pretty penny to fix it (: During this whole escapade I decided I should just walk to the McDonalds up the street when I want Hot and Spicy sandwhiches, instead of running errands with Ben. Sorry Ben (:

McDonalds will be the death of us all.
