Hangin' Out!

Our Portuguese friend had moved in to be our roommate! He's way rad! Friday came around and we all just had a super easy night. I bought steaks for all of us, that were like no joke over an inch thick. They were ridiculous! And we all sat on our computers, played some awesome games, and had some beers (:

This was an awesome way to start my weekend!

Rare Steak? This was a little to rare, even for me..

Oh I also forgot, I bought Brielle some of the cutest hats at a Charity Event her day care was holding.

Cinnamon Bears

Ben came up with a brilliant idea! A lot of people have tried soaking Lifesavers in Vodka, but I have never heard of soaking Cinnamon Bears soaked in Hot Damn. Amazing! And super easy to do.

First: Purchase some Hot Damn. Good luck finding 100 Proof in Utah or anywhere other than Wendover (;

Next: Buy some Cinnamon Bears, make sure they aren't child proof :p

Put Cinnamon Bear's in there "grave" Make sure they are fairly flat and not on top of each other.

Now: Drown your Cinnamon Bears!! Make sure they are all under "water"

And then cover.

Let them sit for a couple of hours, and if you have anyone who likes alcoholic things you can put them in goodie bags with a zip tie and use these as a Christmas present!

Accomplished Wednesday!

Last day of school for the week and I finished my class! And I finished it with high enough scores and fast enough that I got honor roll for that class!!

So as to treat myself I bought a fudge brownie shake for me and tater tots for Brielle!

We got Christmas lights up outside the house and some inside, we can't wait to do our Christmas tree lights! I'll show you our Christmas trees tomorrow! Have a good night guys!

Slowly but surely I'm feeling the Christmas spirit! I've gotten presents for my family, Derrick's family, and a bunch for Brielle. Now I just need to get my wonderful hubby something . I'm super curious as to what he got me! And Brielle. It's driving me crazy. He hasn't even had time! I'm super stoked! have an awesome week you guys!!

Typical December Week.

Less than two weeks until Christmas and I'm just not feelin' it. So soon we will decorate our trees, go see lights, and go shopping. Hopefully we can get into the spirit!

Craziness!

This week I felt like the Energizer bunny. I just kept going and going and going. I was living off of like five hours of sleep for a full week. I ended up getting a second seasonal job  because the pay is unbelievable. So I'm working every Friday through Sunday from 9 AM to 11 PM and also going to school Monday through Thursday from 9 AM to 1 PM. That leaves me Thursdays to do every one's laundry, go grocery shopping, and spend time with my baby girl and wonderful hubby. It's insane! So any chance I can get I've been spoiling myself. Peppermint shakes, Boboa Drinks, and getting my hair done. I've enjoyed having the extra money to take myself and Brielle out.

We also had hurricane winds this last week. It was scary. Our fence would blow down and touch the ground then go back up. This house was seven houses down from us and it caught fire. They lost their dog, and most of their belongings we're trying to find a way to help them out for Christmas, lately we've just been helping them and the clean up crew try and sift through the rubble. It's been really hard on me to watch them in pain :/

Oh, Derrick also made my car sound like a beast. (; Thanks babe.

Hopefully I can stay this busy until Christmas! Hope you guys are getting ready for the holidays and staying positive (:



Festival of Trees!

Festival  of Trees is an annual tree festival :p every year people decorate trees in loving memory of those children they've lost. They then sell the tree's for ridiculous amounts of money and all of the proceedings go to Primary Children's Hospital. This really means a lot. When I was only 15 I was life lighted to this hospital because I had dislocated a couple of bones while snowboarding. It's not like I was going to die but they made sure I was safe and that wouldn't come close to dying. They took all precautions to make sure I was OK. The hospital is absolutely amazing and I love this annual benefit that they do. Anyways! I got the day off, my parents asked Derrick and I to go. Derrick came home early and cancelled some of his jobs so he could come spend time with us. It meant a lot (: We got there and couldn't find any parking! We ended up walking like a mile to get inside and when we got in we went to strap Brielle into her stroller and the straps had frozen and broke off. It was funny but kind of inconvenient.

This place was packed! and huge!

One of my absolute favorite trees was the Barbie tree! It was creative! There were also tons of handcrafted things, and a few of them were hand crafted Barbie Dream Houses. They were beautiful with a lot of thought and heart put into them.

There was thousands and thousands of trees! I took pictures of some of my favorites (:

People got so creative! I was amazed at all the colors and ideas.

There were a ton of Candy Cane type trees and I thought they were gorgeous and so much fun! They were all unique even though they had the same theme.

Since all the proceedings went to Primary Children's Hospital my mom insisted on buy us some yummy treats! Brielle got chocolate covered bears, Derrick and my dad got a bunch of divinity ( which I snuck a bite of Derricks ) my dad got a brick of fudge, and I got a wonderful Pumpkin Spice cupcake! I really wanted some Pumpkin Chocolate chip cookies but they were all out ):

All and all it was an amazing way to get mine and Derrick's Christmas spirit into gear! A wonderful night with my family also.
