Memorial Day

Freddie and his family invited me up to their cabin, in Idaho, for memorial day weekend. It rained most the weekend but it was so nice to get away from the city and breathe some fresh air. First night was just Freddie, his twin, Marquee, and me. We had a lot of fun just laughing and being a little tipsy. I ended up holding poor Marquee's hair for an hour but what are girl friends for? (: Friday night, Saturday, and Sunday we pretty much sat by the fire, watched movies, and played cards. It might not sound exciting but it was nice to catch a break and just relax. I missed Brielle quite a bit and that's the longest I've ever been away from her but her grandma sent me a few pictures to let me know she was doing alright. Monday the sun decided to poke out so we went to the pool but sadly didn't have time for the hot pots but it was still a nice day that ended with some amazing pizza! I felt like being a photographer and I got some really neat shots.(:

My snack for the ride there

 Phase 10!

I just want to say how grateful I am to all the men and woman in the army. I've lost an amazing step dad and an uncle to the war. This is their day. I'm also grateful to Freddie who also serves our country and has helped me get on my feet and move on.

Waterfall Canyon

First hike up Waterfall Canyon this summer was an absolute fail. After we pack all my stuff up and get it out of Derrick's place and over to Freddie's storage unit we decided lets go watch the sunset. We take Zorro and Freddie's dog, Luna. We get half way up and decided we should head back because I was starving. I wanted to take a different path than where we came and come to find out it goes four or five miles away from where we need to go, we decide to go down this huge rock face instead of going back. Don't ask me what I was thinking because I'm not really sure. We get down a couple yards and I roll my ankle. Okay, a little painful but I'm fine. Then out of no where this beetle the size of my dog lands right in front of me. I jump back and fracture my ankle. I'm one of those really graceful people.. not. I thought it was just spranged. Freddie is in the Army Reserves and I didn't want him thinking I was a panzi or anything so I manage to take a couple steps and rest for ten minutes. Then we lose the rocks and go into trees and bushes. I couldn't help but to sit down while Freddie went ahead to figure out where the hell we were going. When he got back he picked me up and carried me for a good mile and a half. You might think awe, how cute. No. I felt beyond retarded. We FINALLY get to the bottom and to the regular path. We make it to the car in one piece and I lit up a cigarette so damn fast it'd make your head spin. Freddie took me back to his place, wrapped my ankle, carried me to the truck, bought me Beto's and took me home. It was a ridiculous day but one I will not forget. The next day I went to the doctor and come to find out I fractured something. Wasn't supposed to walk on it for four weeks. That lasted maybe a week. It was an amazing day all and all though. I had someone who cared enough to push through my stubborn-headed-ness and actually help when I clearly needed it.
 My dog is pathetic..

And leave it to Freddie to spoil my kids :p

Happy Mothers Day!

A lot has happened and it's been a while since I've posted anything. Derrick and I took a dive and decided we should take separate paths. I moved out and I am glad to say I own my apartment just Brielle and I. I love it!

Any who! Mothers Day! It was such a wonderful day. A family friend had told me to text one of my dearest friends who I lost touch with after I had Brielle and it was the best idea ever. He came over mothers day, took me to breakfast, brought me flowers, and gave me my first bullet bike ride. It was a rush and sooo much fun. It was nice to spend time with someone who was happy to have me with them. After breakfast he took me back to my moms and helped set up for our little family party. Brielle came home after spending some time with her grandma and letting me have a break. My mom always has amazing family parties. It was nice to see some family I hadn't seen in a while. Even after the tears and break up I was reminded of how many people I have who truly love and care for not only me but my daughter as well. It was only my second mothers day but it was my favorite so far (:
I hope all of you got to enjoy being with your mothers and being spoiled for a day.
Brielle's teachers made me a whole tub of these cupcakes. This was my favorite saying

This is a new chapter in my life. Life's greatest lessons are always the most difficult.
